Mental Health Protection Programming applies fun, child focused concepts to address serious and potentially dangerous mental health developments.
By utilizing ideas surrounding superheroes, personal protection shields and safety planning, children can begin to bring greater awareness to the risk and protective factors to their mental health in their physical environments. While traditional education applies early learning in physical health and wellness, social health programming includes a broader education to health.
By implementing strategies to teach about one’s ‘visibles’(ex. facial expressions) and ‘invisibles’(feelings and thoughts) children have opportunity to build compassionate awareness into conflict, wants and needs and healthy living.
